Rally Classes

Saluki dog with Rally signs

Rally – book monthly

What is Rally? A fun way to practice obedience by following a route of instruction cards and carrying out the exercise on them. The aim is to work as a team with your dog and the focus is on positive reinforcement and enjoyment.

Why should I do it? To improve your dog’s obedience, to bond with your dog and to have fun!

Why else? To provide mental stimulation for your dog, to impress your friends and to make new friends!

Which dogs can do Rally? Any dog! That’s the great thing about it, so long as your dog enjoys themselves, it’s for them! (Though please note that in a class situation, I cannot accept reactive dogs.)

What skills does my dog need? Your dog needs to be able to walk with you on a lead (at some level) and have a go at the various exercises. Don’t worry too much to begin with but if your dog will not come with you at all, then you may need some individual tuition first.

Can I compete? Yes! Rally is governed by the Kennel Club and there are 6 levels of competition if you want to test your partnership. There is also Rally Online which is a great alternative.
